Savant was driving a pickup truck and was pronounced dead at the accident scene
Terre Haute, IN. – 80-year-old Darrell Savant was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday night in Terre Haute.
According to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 8 p.m. on June 12 at Rio Grande Ave and Stevenson Street.
A pickup truck had been stopped at the intersection of Rio Grande and Greencastle Road when it pulled into the path of another pickup truck traveling west on Rio Grande.
Savant was driving a pickup truck and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Both occupants of the westbound pickup truck and Savant’s passenger were transported to Union Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
