The accident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. on September 8 in rural Clayton.
According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews received a report of an overturned side by side utility vehicle with injuries.
Several agencies responded to the scene to provide medical assistance to the people involved.
Authorities said two people were occupying the utility vehicle when it overturned.
Both occupants suffered injuries and were airlifted to Springfield for further medical treatment.
