Authorities said a driver was injured following an accident involving a car and a semi truck Tuesday morning on Interstate 70 near the Clay and Vigo County line.
Clay County, IN.- One driver was injured following an accident involving a car and a semi truck Tuesday morning in Clay County, according to Indiana State Police.
The accident occurred on August 18 on Interstate 70 near mile marker 19.
According to Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames, the car attempted to illegally pass the semi truck on the right side of the highway.
The car and semi truck then collided on Interstate 70.
Following the collision, both vehicles traveled into the median and came to a stop.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the injured driver to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities said the driver suffered non life threatening injuries.
The identity of the injured driver has not been released.
