Authorities said a bicyclist was killed after being struck by a utility vehicle Sunday evening on West Washington Street in Bloomington.
Bloomington, IL.- A bicyclist was killed following an accident Sunday evening in Bloomington.
The accident occurred around 5:05 p.m. on August 2 in the 1900 block of West Washington Street near Interstate 55/74.
Deputies responded after receiving reports that a utility vehicle had struck a bicyclist.
First responders provided medical aid to the cyclist, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
Authorities have not released information regarding the driver of the utility vehicle or the circumstances leading up to the collision.
The McLean County Sheriff’s Office, the coroner’s office, and the accident reconstruction team are investigating the crash.
