Bilgee Elamin was found lying on the road and was transported to a local hospital, where she died the following day.

Phoenix, AZ. – Bilgee Elamin, 24, has been identified as the woman who died after being struck by a car early Monday morning in Phoenix.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened in the area of 27th Avenue and Camelback Road at around 2:15 a.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Elamin was reportedly crossing the road and was hit by a minivan traveling northbound on 27th Avenue.
The woman was found lying on the road and was transported to a local hospital, where she died the following day.
The minivan driver, 45-year-old Deanna Shugart, showed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Additional information about the accident was not released.
