Troopers said a man was riding his bicycle and entered the junction from the east and crossed into the path of a car in the inside lane.

Orlando, FL. – A male bicyclist was killed after a hit-and-run collision early Sunday morning in Orlando at an intersection in Orlando, Osceola County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 5:30 a.m. June 8, at Pleasant Hill Road and Sun Cove Drive.
Troopers said a man was riding his bicycle and entered the junction from the east and crossed into the path of a car in the inside lane.
The vehicle, described by witnesses as a newer model black Honda Accord had a green light on before hitting the cyclist. The male bicyclist was thrown into the outside lane and was hit a second time by a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta heading northbound.
The Honda left the scene after the crash.
The Jetta occupants were unhurt and stayed at the crash site following the crash.
A person with information concerning the collision or the fleeing car is asked to call the Florida Highway Patrol or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
An investigation is ongoing.
