Deputies said a bicyclist was hit by a vehicle for reasons still under investigation.

Kankakee County, IL. – A bicyclist was killed after a traffic collision on Monday in Kankakee County, according to the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened a while after 7:40 a.m. on June 29, in the 4000 block of E. Road.
Deputies said a bicyclist was hit by a vehicle for reasons still under investigation.
The bicyclist, a 29-year-old man of Bourbonnais, was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The roadway was closed for several hours following the crash. All lanes have since reopened.
