Police said an 88 year old woman died from her injuries following a two vehicle accident Monday morning at South Illinois Street and South Belt in Belleville.
Belleville, IL.- One woman was killed and two other people were injured following a two vehicle accident Monday morning in Belleville, according to Belleville police.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:04 a.m. on August 17 at South Illinois Street and South Belt.
Officers responded to the intersection following reports of a collision involving two vehicles.
Three people were injured in the accident and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities said an 88 year old woman who was a passenger in one of the vehicles later died from her injuries.
Police have not released the identity of the woman who died.
Additional information about the other two people who were hospitalized, including the extent of their injuries, has not been released.
