Avondale, AZ. – A motorcyclist died after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday morning in Avondale.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened on I-10 near Avondale Boulevard at around 8 a.m.
A passenger vehicle and a motorcycle were traveling westbound in the HOV lane when the passenger vehicle changed lanes while the motorcycle moved left of the HOV lane to pass the vehicle.
The motorcyclist crashed into the rear of a parked disabled vehicle. The rider slid into the path of oncoming traffic and was run over by an oncoming vehicle.
Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to the hospital where they later died.
