Hillsborough County, FL. – At least one person was hurt following a major vehicle collision early Friday morning in Hillsborough County, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred at about 4:50 a.m. on Bloomingdale Avenue near the intersection with Providence Road.
Authorities said an unknown number of vehicles crashed in unclear circumstances.
At least one person was severely injured in the crash.
A stretch of Bloomingdale Avenue was closed for several hours following the collision. Drivers are asked to use alternate roads until the roadway reopens.
