5 Hurt in Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 336 near Baseline Road in Adams County

Authorities said five people were injured following a two vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Highway 336 near Baseline Road in Adams County.

Adams County, IL.- Five people were injured following a two vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Adams County.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:02 p.m. on August 2 on Highway 336 near Baseline Road, close to the Adams County Fairgrounds.

According to preliminary reports, one vehicle crossed the median before the collision occurred.

Passengers from one vehicle were transported to Blessing Hospital, while occupants of the second vehicle were taken to another local hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released additional information regarding the extent of the victims’ injuries.

Northbound Highway 336 was closed from Highway 24 to North 1925th Road for several hours while emergency crews responded to the scene and cleared the roadway.

Drivers traveling to the Adams County Fairgrounds were advised to use alternate routes during the closure.

The accident remains under investigation.
