Troopers said an SUV operated by a 45-year-old Pensacola man was heading south in the southbound outside lane behind a bicyclist heading south in the same lane.

Escambia County, FL. – A 42-year-old bicyclist from Pace was killed in a late-night crash on Tuesday in Escambia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at around 11:45 p.m. on May 26 on CR-453 / North W. Street north of Lenox Parkway.
Troopers said an SUV operated by a 45-year-old Pensacola man was heading south in the southbound outside lane behind a bicyclist heading south in the same lane.
The male driver did not observe the cyclist due to low light conditions and hit the cyclist with the front of the SUV.
Escambia County EMS responded and declared the bicyclist dead at the crash site.
The SUV driver was not hurt in the crash.
No additional details regarding this collision were provided.
