Man Sustains Fatal Injuries After Car Crash on State Road 29 and Interstate 75 in Collier County

Collier County, FL. – A 40-year-old man was killed after a traffic collision early Saturday morning in Collier County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at around 2:20 a.m. on June 6 on State Road 29 north of Interstate 75.

Troopers said a man was heading north in a 2026 Chevy Silverado on State Road 29 when the truck drove into the southbound lane and its front crashed into the left side of a southbound 2019 Ford Fusion.

The Silverado driver was declared dead at the crash site.

The Ford driver, a 21-year-old Felda man, and his 51-year-old passenger from Sunnyside, Washington, sustained non-incapacitating injuries after the accident.

An investigation is underway.
