Authorities said a 4-year-old boy and 68-year-old woman were riding on a tractor when they got off the tractor and were struck by the driver.

Redding Township, IN. – A 68-year-old woman and a 4-year-old boy were killed after being hit by a tractor on Monday afternoon at an Indiana farm, in Redding Township, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
The deadly collision happened at about 7:40 p.m. on January 23, in Redding Township, just north of Seymour.
Authorities said a 4-year-old boy and 68-year-old woman were riding on a tractor when they got off the tractor and were struck by the tractor operated by someone else.
All the persons involved are relatives.
The boy was taken to Schneck Medical Center where he was declared dead. The woman was airlifted to a hospital in Louisville where she died on Wednesday.
No additional information regarding this collision was provided.
