Police said a 32-year-old man of Melrose Park was heading eastbound in the westbound lanes when it crashed into another car head-on. The second vehicle was occupied by two 21-year-old women from DeKalb.

Aurora, IL. – Three persons were killed after a wrong-way collision early Sunday morning in Aurora, according to the Illinois State Police.
The accident occurred a while after 4:00 a.m. on May 10, on westbound Interstate 88 milepost 112.25.
Police said a 32-year-old man of Melrose Park was heading eastbound in the westbound lanes when it crashed into another car head-on. The second vehicle was occupied by two 21-year-old women from DeKalb.
All the three persons involved were transported to the hospital where they died.
Police closed all westbound lanes to give way to an on-scene investigation.
