Robert William Leo Dunham and Jesse E. Brummett Jr. killed in car accident on West Chapel Road in Rushville

Franklin County, IN. – Two people were killed in a car crash near Rushville in Franklin County on Saturday evening.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened in the 27000 block of West Chapel Road.
A 2007 Chevrolet Impala operated by 49-year-old Robert William Leo Dunham, from Oldenburg, Indiana, was traveling westbound on West Chapel Road when the driver lost control, veered off the road and struck a power pole.
The car continued through a grassy area, hit a tree, and crashed into a home.
Dunham and his passenger, 51-year-old Jesse E. Brummett Jr. from Sunman, Indiana, were pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Police say excessive speed appears to have been a primary factor in the crash.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
