Deputies said a southbound 2014 Chevrolet Impala and a 2019 Ford Fusion crashed head-on in the northbound lane.

Crawford County, IL. – Two drivers were killed after a traffic collision on Thursday afternoon in Crawford County, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened at around 4:18 p.m. on June 11 on Illinois Route 1.
Deputies said a southbound 2014 Chevrolet Impala and a 2019 Ford Fusion crashed head-on in the northbound lane.
The Ford driver, a 35-year-old Robinson resident, was declared dead at the crash site. The Chevrolet driver, a 20-year-old Lawrenceville resident, was declared dead at the crash site.
The two vehicles were towed away from the crash site and had over $1,500 damage.
Highway 1 was blocked for around four to five hours to give way to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation is underway.
