Grandview, WA – Two people were injured after a car crashed into a parked vehicle along Interstate 82 near Grandview Saturday night, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on June 21 on I-82 at milepost 76 about a mile east of Grandview.
WSP said a white Toyota Camry, operated by a 31-year-old Prosser man, was heading eastbound on I-82 when it veered off the roadway and crashed into a parked gray Ford F150 on the shoulder.
Officials said the driver of the Ford, a 34-year-old man from San Angelo, Texas, was outside the vehicle re-securing a trailer, when the crash occurred and was caught in the impact. The man was injured and transported to Kadlec Medical Center.
The Toyota overturned after the impact and the driver was injured. He was taken to Prosser Memorial Hospital for treatment. WSP said the Prosser man is facing vehicular assault and DUI charges.
The crash remains under investigation.
