Authorities said two people were injured, including one who suffered life threatening injuries, in a multi vehicle accident Monday morning on Interstate 10 in Tucson.
Tucson, AZ.- Two people were injured following a multi vehicle accident Monday morning in Tucson, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The accident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on July 13 on Interstate 10 westbound near East 22nd Street.
Officials said the collision involved a commercial vehicle. Images from the Arizona Department of Transportation showed debris scattered across the roadway and a gravel truck with significant damage to the driver’s side.
One person was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Another person sustained injuries that were not considered life threatening.
The westbound lanes of Interstate 10 were closed for about three hours before reopening around 2:30 p.m.
Additional information about those involved has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
