1 Killed in Head-On Crash at Havana Highway in Gadsden County

Police said a sedan was heading west on Havana Highway while an SUV was traveling east. The sedan then, for unknown reasons, struck the SUV head-on.

Gadsden County, FL.- One person was killed and two others injured following a head-on collision on Saturday evening in Gadsden County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at the Havana Highway and Wayne Gregory Road intersection at about 5:00 p.m. on June 7.

Police said a sedan was heading west on Havana Highway while an SUV was traveling east. The sedan then, for unknown reasons, struck the SUV head-on.

The sedan driver, a 34-year-old Tallahassee man, was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare where he was listed in critical condition. His passenger, a 42-year-old man from Gretna, died in the collision.

The SUV driver, a 37-year-old Havana woman, was listed in severe condition at TMH.

The names of the victims were not released.

The two drivers and the passenger were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. 

Police did not release information whether any charges have been filed, or the collision was under investigation.
