Police said a vehicle was struck by a Brightline train in unclear circumstances.
Lantana, FL. – One person was killed after a train accident on Thursday afternoon in Lantana, according to the Lantana Police Department.
The accident happened at about 1:55 p.m. at West Pine Street and South 3rd Street.
Police said a vehicle was struck by a Brightline train in unclear circumstances.
The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue officials responded to the scene and declared the car driver dead at the scene.
The vehicle sustained extensive damage following the collision.
No one in the train was injured.
An investigation is underway.
