Vigo County, IN – One person was killed and another was injured after two vehicles collided at an intersection in Vigo County on Monday morning.
The deadly accident happened at about 8:55 a.m. at the intersection of US Highway 40 and Chamberlain Road.
The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office said a red Toyota 4-Runner was heading west on US-40 and had a green light at the intersection. A black Tesla, heading northbound on Chamberlain Road, ran a red light and entered the path of the 4-Runner, leading to a collision.
Both vehicles reportedly spun and stopped in the parking lot of a food mart at the intersection.
The Tesla driver was transported to the hospital where he later died. The Toyota driver was hospitalized in unknown condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
