Tacoma, WA.– A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a car in Tacoma on Wednesday morning.
According to Tacoma police, the accident happened around 4:45 a.m. in the area of South 76th Street and Pacific Avenue.
A vehicle reportedly struck a pedestrian before veering off the roadway, where it knocked down power lines, causing an outage.
The pedestrian was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
