Authorities confirmed a southbound vehicle veered off the side of Route 37 at Church Road, struck a culvert, and overturned on its roof in the middle of the roadway.
Salem, IL. – One person was hurt following a single vehicle accident on Sunday morning in Salem, according to the Salem Fire Protection District.
The accident happened at around 8:00 a.m. on Route 37 at Church Road.
Authorities confirmed a southbound vehicle veered off the side of Route 37 at Church Road, struck a culvert, and overturned on its roof in the middle of the roadway.
The driver got out of the vehicle by themselves and refused to be taken to the hospital. He was later transported by a private car to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.
No additional information regarding this crash was provided.
