Belfair, WA. – A woman was hospitalized after being injured in a collision involving a trailer that disconnected from a vehicle in Belfair on Thursday morning.
The collision happened around 11 a.m. on Highway 3 near mile 27, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Three vehicles were southbound when a trailer disconnected from the leading vehicle and struck a vehicle operated by a 37-year-old woman.
The trailer then hit a car driven by a 68-year-old woman from Port Orchard.
The 37-year-old woman was injured in the accident and was taken to St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor.
The leading vehicle did not stop at the scene and the suspect was yet to be located.
