The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital with life-threatening injuries

Las Vegas, NV. – A pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a car in Las Vegas early Wednesday morning.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened around 12:43 a.m. at the intersection of Eastern and Reno Avenues.
A 19-year-old man was walking across the street and was hit by a Nissan Altima traveling south at a high rate of speed.
The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police. He was later arrested on suspicion of DUI and reckless driving resulting in substantial bodily harm.
More details about the accident were not released.
