Gurnee, IL. – At least one person was hospitalized after being injured in a car accident on Tuesday morning in Gurnee.
According to the Gurnee Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Washington Street and Route 21 at around 7:35 a.m.
A silver Honda Civic operated by a 54-year-old man was traveling west on Washington Street when it collided with a Kia Sorrento that was turning left onto northbound Route 21 from eastbound Washington Street.
The impact of the collision caused the Kia to roll onto its side and slide into a black Toyota Rav4 that was stopped in the southbound left-turn lane.
The Honda Civic driver was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with minor injuries.
