Tempe, Ariz. (May 17, 2019) — Lerner and Rowe Gives Back joins other community partners in supporting the Southwest Kids Cancer Foundation by sponsoring their annual Campfires and Marshmallows Gala. Monetary proceeds raised will directly benefit Arizona Camp Sunrise and the Sidekicks program. The charitable evening that takes place on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Phoenix Zoo kicks off at 6:00 p.m. This is the third year the Phoenix-based law firm has participated in one of the Foundation’s festive themed fundraisers to help bring a bit of sunshine into the lives of children dealing with difficult health concerns.
Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks
Arizona Camp Sunrise is a fun and safe place for children affected by cancer to unwind and have fun. Just two years after the camp was founded in 1983, the camp moved to the R-C Scout Ranch which now includes:
- Seven sleeper cabins
- Fully equipped dining hall with kitchen
- Medical health center
In turn, the Sidekicks program is a one-of-a-kind experience for siblings of cancer patients that is offered at Arizona Camp Sunrise.
