19-Year-Old Woman Killed in Rollover Accident in Bloomington

Authorities said a 19 year old woman was killed and an 18 year old man was hospitalized following a single vehicle rollover accident early Wednesday morning in Bloomington.

Bloomington, IN.- A 19 year old woman died and an 18 year old man was injured following a rollover accident Wednesday morning in Monroe County, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident occurred around 1:27 a.m. on September 9 near South State Road 446 and Allens Creek Road.

Authorities said a Subaru was traveling on State Road 446 when it reportedly left the roadway and overturned.

The passenger, a 19 year old woman from Medora, suffered fatal injuries in the accident.

Authorities said the woman later died from her injuries.

The Subaru was driven by an 18 year old man from Franklin.

The driver suffered injuries and was airlifted to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for treatment.

Authorities have not released additional information regarding the driver’s condition.

Investigators have not determined what caused the Subaru to leave the roadway and overturn.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said additional information will be released as it becomes available.

The fatal accident remains under investigation.
