Authorities said a 76 year old golf cart driver was injured after striking the rear of a tractor Saturday morning on Tropical Way in the Tropical Farms community of Martin County.
Martin County, FL.- A 76 year old man was injured following an accident involving a golf cart and a tractor Saturday morning in Martin County.
The accident occurred before 11 a.m. on September 5 on Tropical Way in the Tropical Farms community.
According to the initial report, the man was driving a golf cart when it struck the rear of a tractor.
The impact caused the 76 year old driver to be ejected from the golf cart.
Emergency crews responded to Tropical Way and provided medical assistance to the injured man.
The golf cart driver was initially transported to a local hospital for treatment.
According to a sheriff’s office spokesperson, the man was later airlifted to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce for additional medical care.
Authorities have not released further information regarding the severity of his injuries or his current condition.
