Police said a 32 year old man was killed after being struck by a semi truck Thursday morning near Lamb Boulevard and Lone Mountain Road in North Las Vegas.
North Las Vegas, NV.- A 32 year old pedestrian was killed following an accident involving a semi truck Thursday morning in North Las Vegas.
The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on September 3 near the intersection of Lamb Boulevard and Lone Mountain Road.
North Las Vegas police said a Kenworth semi truck was turning onto northbound Lamb Boulevard when the collision occurred.
At the same time, the pedestrian was crossing Lamb Boulevard from east to west on the north side of Lone Mountain Road.
According to police, the truck driver did not see the pedestrian and struck him while making the turn.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, but the 32 year old man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released the identity of the pedestrian who was killed.
Lamb Boulevard was closed in both directions while emergency crews responded and investigators examined the accident scene.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes during the closure.

The fatal accident remains under investigation.
