Troopers said injuries were reported following a vehicle accident and fire Monday night that blocked two southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at State Road 9B in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville, FL.- At least one person was reportedly injured following a fiery vehicle accident Monday night on Interstate 95 in Jacksonville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on August 31 in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at State Road 9B.

Authorities said a vehicle caught fire as a result of the collision.

Emergency crews responded to the scene to assist those involved and extinguish the vehicle fire.

Traffic cameras captured the vehicle burning on the interstate while first responders worked at the scene.

Two southbound lanes of Interstate 95 remained blocked around 9:30 p.m. as emergency crews continued handling the accident.

Authorities have not released the number of people injured or information regarding the severity of their injuries.
