Authorities said a motorcyclist was killed following a collision involving a motorcycle and a truck Sunday evening on US 50 at Drako Way in Carson City.
Carson City, NV.- A motorcyclist was killed following an accident involving a truck Sunday evening in Carson City, according to Nevada State Police.
The accident occurred around 5:34 p.m. on August 30 at US 50 and Drako Way.
Nevada State Police said the motorcyclist, an adult man, suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, but the rider was pronounced dead.
The truck driver, also an adult man, suffered injuries that were described as non life threatening.
Investigators suspect impairment may have contributed to the collision. Authorities have not determined which driver may have been impaired.
Travel lanes on US 50 at Drako Way were reduced while emergency crews assisted those involved and investigators examined the accident scene.
All lanes reopened by approximately 4:45 a.m. Monday, August 31.
Authorities have not released the motorcyclist’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
The fatal accident remains under investigation.
