Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident at Wyoming Boulevard and Constitution Avenue in Albuquerque

Authorities said a woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning at Wyoming Boulevard and Constitution Avenue NE in northeast Albuquerque.

Albuquerque, NM.- A female pedestrian was killed following an accident involving a vehicle Monday morning in northeast Albuquerque.

The accident occurred around 5:40 a.m. on August 31 at the intersection of Wyoming Boulevard and Constitution Avenue NE.

Emergency crews responded to the intersection after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

First responders attempted to provide lifesaving medical assistance to the injured woman.

Despite those efforts, the pedestrian died from injuries sustained in the collision.

Authorities have not released the identity of the woman who was killed.

The vehicle involved in the accident was later towed from the scene as investigators continued examining the collision.

Traffic lanes surrounding the intersection were temporarily closed while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene. The affected lanes have since reopened.

Authorities have not released additional information about the driver or the circumstances leading up to the collision.

The accident remains under investigation.
