Authorities said one resident and one firefighter were hospitalized following a house fire Wednesday afternoon that spread to a neighboring home on Sacramento Drive in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas, NV.- Two people were hospitalized following a house fire Wednesday afternoon near Interstate 11 and Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.
The fire occurred on August 26 at a residence at 42 Sacramento Drive.
Fire crews responded around 3 p.m. and found flames burning at the property.
Authorities said the fire spread from the original residence to a neighboring home as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
Crews brought the fire under control at approximately 3:24 p.m.
One resident suffered injuries and was transported to University Medical Center for treatment. Authorities said the resident was listed in stable condition.
A firefighter was also transported to a hospital as a precaution.
Three cats and one dog died as a result of the fire.
The American Red Cross is assisting five adults and four children who were displaced from their homes. Five surviving dogs were also displaced.
Traffic in the surrounding area was stopped while firefighters and other emergency personnel worked at the scene.
