Micco, FL.- A pedestrian was killed following an accident involving a vehicle Thursday morning in southern Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred around 5:15 a.m. on August 27 at US 1 and Barefoot Boulevard, just north of Micco Road near the entrance to Barefoot Bay.

Troopers said a 2011 Kia Soul was traveling south on US 1 in the inside lane while approaching the intersection.
