Police said a girl suffered critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon near Thunderbird High School in Phoenix.
Phoenix, AZ.- A girl was critically injured following a pedestrian accident Tuesday afternoon near Thunderbird High School.
The accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on August 25 at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road, southwest of the school.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
The girl suffered life threatening injuries in the collision and was transported for emergency medical treatment.
Authorities said she remained in critical condition following the accident.
Phoenix police said the driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Authorities have not released the identity or age of the injured girl.
