Authorities said a 30 year old Huntley woman was killed following a two vehicle accident Wednesday morning at Gardner Road and Johnny Run Road near Kinsman in rural Grundy County.
Kinsman, IL.- A 30 year old woman was killed following a two vehicle accident Wednesday morning near Kinsman.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. on August 19 at the intersection of Gardner Road and Johnny Run Road.
Authorities identified the woman who was killed as Rosemary Bolding of Huntley.
Investigators said Bolding was driving north on Johnny Run Road when she failed to stop at the stop sign at Gardner Road.
An eastbound vehicle then struck Bolding’s car in the intersection.
The impact sent Bolding’s vehicle into a front yard northeast of the intersection. Her car continued through the property before striking the corner of a nearby house and causing visible damage to the structure.
Video from the scene showed Bolding’s blue car resting against the house following the collision.
Bolding was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released information regarding whether anyone traveling in the eastbound vehicle was injured.
The accident occurred in an unincorporated agricultural area near Kinsman that is surrounded by wind farms.
