Port St. Lucie, FL.- One person was killed following an accident Friday afternoon on Interstate 95 in St. Lucie County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at approximately 3:17 p.m. on August 14 on Interstate 95 near mile marker 116, between SW Becker Road and SW Gatlin Boulevard.
Troopers responded to the scene and confirmed that one person was killed as a result of the collision.
The left lane of Interstate 95 remained blocked while emergency crews responded to the accident and investigators examined the scene.
The lane closure caused significant traffic delays, with vehicles reportedly brought to a near standstill in the area.
