Clay County, FL.- A child was injured following an e bike accident involving an SUV Thursday morning near Clay County High School.

The accident occurred on August 13 near the high school, according to Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook.

Authorities said the child was riding an e bike when an SUV struck the rider.

The child suffered minor injuries in the collision and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Officials said the SUV involved in the accident was silver. The driver left the scene following the collision.

Authorities are searching for the silver SUV and the driver involved in the hit and run.
