Authorities said three people were injured following a fiery two vehicle accident Thursday night on North Lake Shore Drive in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood.
Chicago, IL.- Three people were injured following a two vehicle accident Thursday night in Chicago.
The accident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on August 13 in the 1000 block of North Lake Shore Drive.
Authorities said a blue sedan carrying three people was traveling south when it sideswiped a black sedan that was traveling in the same direction.
Following the initial collision, the blue sedan struck a median and caught fire.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and three occupants of the blue sedan were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
The injured occupants were identified as a 20 year old man, a 22 year old man, and a 21 year old woman.
The driver of the black sedan declined medical treatment following the accident.
Authorities have not released additional information regarding the conditions of the three people who were hospitalized.
The accident remains under investigation.
