Fire officials said two people were hospitalized following a three vehicle accident Tuesday morning on State Road 434 near Tollgate Trail in Longwood.
Longwood, FL.- Two people were injured following a three vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Longwood, according to the Seminole County Fire Department.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:23 a.m. on August 11 on State Road 434 near Tollgate Trail.
Emergency crews from the Seminole County Fire Department responded to the accident along with the Longwood Fire Department.
Officials said the collision involved three vehicles and resulted in two people being transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Firefighters also encountered a fuel hazard while responding to the accident. A 40 gallon gasoline tank being carried in the bed of a work pickup truck was damaged during the collision.
Emergency crews remained at the scene while assisting those involved and addressing the fuel hazard created by the damaged tank.
Authorities have not released additional information about the two people who were hospitalized or the extent of their injuries.
The cause of the collision has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
