Police said a pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by an SUV Sunday night in the 7400 block of South Eastern Avenue near East Warm Springs Road in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas, NV.- A pedestrian was seriously injured following an accident Sunday night in Las Vegas.
The accident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. on August 2 in the 7400 block of South Eastern Avenue, just south of East Warm Springs Road.
Investigators said the pedestrian was crossing eastbound outside a marked crosswalk when a 2025 Toyota RAV4 driven by a 69 year old woman was leaving a private driveway to turn south onto South Eastern Avenue.
Authorities said the SUV struck the pedestrian before continuing onto the sidewalk.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police said the driver remained at the scene, showed no signs of impairment, and cooperated with the investigation.
The identity of the pedestrian has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
