The accident occurred around 8 p.m. on August 2 near the intersection of Illinois Route 15 and South 11th Street.
Authorities said the collision involved at least two vehicles.
Nine people were transported to local hospitals with various injuries.
Officials confirmed there were no fatalities.
Due to the number of injured victims, emergency crews classified the incident as a mass casualty event and requested additional assistance from surrounding agencies.
Multiple emergency responders remained at the scene to provide medical care and manage the response.
