Rockford, IL.- One person was injured following a multi vehicle accident Sunday morning in Rockford.
The accident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on August 2 at the intersection of Kishwaukee Street and Harrison Avenue.
According to the Rockford Police Department, the collision involved a Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office squad car.
Authorities said the injured person was initially believed to be a pedestrian and was reported to be in stable condition.
The intersection remained closed as of 4:30 a.m. while Illinois State Police investigated the accident.
Officials have not released information regarding the total number of vehicles involved.
The accident remains under investigation.
