4 Injured in Vehicle Accident on Hwy 99W and Hoffman Road in Monmouth

Police said an ambulance owned by the Polk County Fire District No.1 and a vehicle crashed in unclear circumstances. The ambulance had cleared an accident scene involving a motorcycle and no patient was in the ambulance at the time.

Polk County, OR. – Four people were injured after a traffic collision on Thursday evening in Monmouth, Polk County, according to the Oregon State Police.

The accident occurred at about 6:39 p.m. on July 2, at the Hwy 99W and Hoffman Road intersection.

Police said an ambulance owned by the Polk County Fire District No.1 and a vehicle crashed in unclear circumstances. The ambulance had cleared an accident scene involving a motorcycle and no patient was in the ambulance at the time.

Three Polk Fire personnel inside the ambulance and the driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

An investigation is underway.
