Lexington, IL. – One person was injured after a multi-vehicle accident on Friday afternoon in Lexington, according to the Illinois State Police.
The accident occurred at about 3:14 p.m. on June 26 on Interstate 55 near milepost 179.
Police said two commercial cars and a passenger vehicle crashed in unclear circumstances.
One person sustained injuries due to the collision.
Authorities closed down southbound I-55. Traffic was diverted onto Route 66 at milepost 187.
