Avon, IN. – An Avon town employee was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Friday morning in Avon.
The accident occurred in the 1100 block of North Ronald Reagan Parkway near East County Road 1100 N at around 10 a.m., according to the Avon Police Department.
The employee was outside his car just outside IU Health West Hospital when he was struck by a Jeep in unclear circumstances.
Paramedics transported the pedestrian to Eskenazi Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and cooperated with the detectives.
