Police said a black Ford passenger was heading west on Center Grove Road near Tiger Drive when it swerved and crashed into the rear bumper of a westbound black Ford pickup truck in the turn lane for the District 7 Sports Complex.

Edwardsville, IL. – Two people were injured after a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Edwardsville, according to the Edwardsville Police Department.
The accident occurred at about 3:45 p.m. on June 23, on Center Grove Road near Edwardsville High School.
Police said a black Ford passenger was heading west on Center Grove Road near Tiger Drive when it swerved and crashed into the rear bumper of a westbound black Ford pickup truck in the turn lane for the District 7 Sports Complex.
The woman driving the Ford sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for further treatment. Police said the woman showed signs of impairment.
The pickup truck passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries but declined to be transported to a hospital.
Westbound traffic on Center Grove Road was diverted through the EHS parking lot onto Governor’s Parkway while eastbound traffic on Center Grove Road finally moved through the junction.
An investigation is underway.
