The driver of the Hyundai Elantra was taken to hospital with minor injuries
Portland, OR. – A 46-year-old Springfield man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon in Portland.
According to Oregon State Police, the accident happened at around 4 p.m. at Highway 126 and Fisher Road near milepost 52.
The man was driving a red Mazda 3 westbound on Highway 126 in when he veered into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a white Chevrolet Equinox.
The Chevrolet overturned and came to rest in the westbound travel lane while the Mazda continued eastbound and collided with a red Hyundai Elantra.
Paramedics pronounced the driver of the Mazda dead at the scene.
The driver of the Hyundai Elantra was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
